Rules

Welcome to LibertyCricket.com.

There is really only one Rule: Don’t be a Jackass.

There are many ways to be a Jackass, and we will detail the main ones here. This list is by no means definitive.

1. Racial abuse, race baiting. This is a multi-racial and multi-ethnic community and that reality must be respected. Derogatory references to any race, or race/ethnic/religious based insults are not acceptable. Posts that are deemed to be an attempt to stir up racial arguments are not acceptable. At best offenders may get a warning, but will most likely simply have their posting privileges abruptly removed. On the line is out.

There are racial words that may be acceptable in some places, amongst some people. There are not acceptable here, please don’t use them.

2. Multiple handles. People who want to have conversations with themselves should visit a doctor.

3. Explicit or excessive profanity. This isn’t church, but that doesn’t mean everyone wants to read someone’s potty mouth.

4. Commercial announcements. If you want to advertise on this site then please contact (admin at libertycricket dot com).

Notes

  • Statements that could be contrued as libel are jackassery. Rest assured that in the event of legal action resulting from libel your name, IP address, everything will be shared with the authorities.
  • The comment section is vicious there are no guarantees that people will be civil to you. If you have delicate sensibilities or are easily offended, then this is not the place for you. You are best advised develop a thick skin if you choose to post here.
  • The moderators will block comments if they are of the Jackass nature.
  • Democracy may be a wonderful way to govern a country but it has no place here. The Moderator will decide which comments to block or edit.
  • Believe it or not, playing cricket and/or being elected a member of a board or an organization makes you a public figure.  As a result people may say good or bad things about you, as is a right by the US Constitution Amendment 1.
  • Enjoy the discussions here, but remember that what gets posted here has only as much credibility as the (generally) anonymous person posting it. Don’t take things too seriously and try to have a good time.

Special Thanks to CaribbeanCricket.com for inspiring these rules.
